Sharon Ditata

Meet Sharon Ditata
Sharon’s passion for movement started with sports. Regular physical activity led her to find unique ways to train, strengthen, and prepare her body for physical challenges. In the ‘90s, she discovered Pilates, where she experienced the benefits of building core strength, structural stability, and mindful breathing. The practice stayed with her, and as her career took her across the country, her Pilates routine followed. When she couldn’t join Pilates classes, she looked for yoga classes.
Over the years, her physical activity led her to see movement as more than just exercise; it became a form of therapy. Her curiosity and the growth of her practice motivated her to explore the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of both Pilates and yoga, combining the advantages of both. She earned her yoga certification in 2015 and continues to practice both asana and meditation. In 2020, a severe shoulder injury interrupted her physical practice, sent her to physical therapy, and prompted a thorough study of anatomical movement to better understand her healing process. Once again, she used Pilates as part of her rehabilitation, which inspired her to pursue her Pilates certification in 2025.
By day, Sharon teaches literacy and moonlights as an amateur tennis player while hiking trails in her free time. When she isn’t reading books or soaking up the Florida sun, she travels across the country searching for new hiking trails. She continues to practice yoga and Pilates as therapy and believes that breath is the BOSS! When the breath leads the way, movement becomes medicine.
